The Lauwersmeer SwimRun is one of the toughest endurance sports in the world, where participants swim and run in pairs in a challenging combination. The race takes place in the unique Lauwersmeer area, featuring a route that goes through both salt and fresh water, offering stunning views of the Wadden Sea. Participants can choose from distances of 10 kilometers, 10 miles (approximately 16 kilometers), and 15 miles (approximately 28 kilometers), tackling the challenges of the race in wetsuits and running shoes. The minimum age for participation is 16 years, and the race will take place on June 28, 2025.
